CSignum’s leadership team is led by leaders of strategy, sales and engineering. The team sets company strategy, drives innovation and supports a culture of collaboration, integrity and a customer first mindset.
Jonathan is the CEO of CSignum and a recognized leader whose career spans successful start-up ventures, multiple acquisitions and senior operating roles in networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI companies. Jonathan also co-founded Arvizio, a provider of enterprise augmented reality solutions delivering rich multi-user collaboration and digital twin experiences for Industry 4.0. Prior to Arvizio, Jonathan was Chairman and co-founder of CloudLink Technologies, a cloud security and storage company providing secure hybrid cloud solutions for AWS, Azure and VMware cloud infrastructure. CloudLink was acquired by EMC and today is part of Dell.
Jonathan founded and served as CEO of several networking companies including Sirocco Systems, an intelligent optical edge switching platform that was acquired by Sycamore Networks, and Sahara Networks, acquired by Cascade Communications and Ascend Communications, where Jonathan subsequently served as VP of Strategic Planning. Preceding his entrepreneurial endeavours, Jonathan formed and led the ATM and switching business at General Datacomm where he also held senior engineering, product marketing, and sales roles. Jonathan was pivotal in General Datacomm’s success as an early leader in the ATM switching market, serving enterprises and telecommunications operators across the globe.
Jonathan has also served as an Operating Partner with Bessemer Venture Partners and on the Board of Trustees at Quinnipiac University. Jonathan held research and development leadership positions following his computer science and electronic engineering studies at Bournemouth College of Technology and University of Warwick.

Mark Rhodes is CSignum’s Chief Technology Officer with over 30 years of technology leadership and engineering experience, including significant roles at SKF, Agilent, Motorola, GEC-Marconi, BAE Systems, and WFS Technologies. As an esteemed Electronics Engineer, Mark has spearheaded numerous technological advancements, holding over 30 granted patents. He is notably the original inventor of digital through-water communications and groundbreaking innovations in areas such as cellular communications, airborne radar, industrial condition monitoring, and fiber optic communications.
Throughout his career, Mark has played a crucial role in technology companies, managing the full cycle from conceptualization to successful commercialization. His expertise encompasses system design and integration, radio communications systems, microwave design, and leading project and engineering teams, with a focus on aligning technology business strategy with organizational goals.
A Blackbelt in the Motorola Six Sigma quality improvement program, Mark champions precision and efficiency in all engineering processes. He firmly believes that the CSignum solution is just the beginning of what’s possible with their electromagnetic field-based platform as the world extends the Internet of Things to encompass the underwater and underground domains.

Rob Soni is an entrepreneur and investor with a career spanning over 25 years with a significant history of accomplishments. From starting or co-founding multiple ventures across diverse sectors such as networking, storage, service providers, SaaS, and consumer goods, to orchestrating successful acquisitions and IPOs.
As Director and EVP of Corporate Development, Business Development and Strategy, Rob brings a wealth of experience to the forefront, charting a strategic course for CSignum’s organizational growth and innovation. Leveraging his business and investment experience and industry contacts, he spearheads initiatives to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships and alliances to propel the company forward.
Following his graduation from Harvard College, Rob began his career at The Boston Consulting Group, followed by roles at Bessemer Venture Partners and Matrix Partners. Rob will infuse a blend of strategic insight and entrepreneurial acumen into every facet of corporate development. Rob’s leadership role will be instrumental in shaping the company’s trajectory.

Richard Hopkins is a Director of Operations with an extensive background in leadership, strategic planning, and financial management. A former Royal Marines Lieutenant Colonel, Richard transitioned from military to civilian life by founding his own private client financial planning practice in 2017, which now manages £10 million in funds. Since 2018, he has served CSignum as a Non-Executive Director and took on the role of Chairman in 2019.
Richard has led large organizations, managing teams of up to 150 personnel and overseeing multi-billion-pound equipment procurement programs and multi-million-pound operating and infrastructure budgets. He holds a master’s degree in leadership & management, is a regulated financial planner, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. His career is marked by a commitment to the highest standards of governance, and he brings valuable experience in defence, security, operations, organizational development, and finance.
Richard’s military career began with officer and commando training in 1994, leading to a series of command and staff roles. He furthered his expertise at the UK Defence Academy in 2007 and completed defense procurement training at Cranfield University’s Defence College of Management & Technology in 2012. His service includes roles in various Naval, Marine, Army, Joint, and NATO units, as well as at the Ministry of Defence in London and as Equerry to HRH Prince Philip in the Royal Household.

Fraser Galloway is the Chief Engineer at CSignum. Fraser is an accomplished engineer with a passion for innovation, problem-solving and design. With over 16 years of experience spanning consumer electronics, subsea control systems, and RF communications, he has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional solutions even in the most demanding environments during long term roles at his two previous companies and now CSignum.
Possessing a master’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, Fraser graduated with honours and holds the title of Chartered Engineer with the IET. His technical expertise encompasses a wide spectrum, including PCB design, RF communications, systems engineering, product design/management, and subsea engineering. He effectively leads and manages cross functional teams on mission-critical projects.
In his current role, Fraser spearheads the development and growth of the engineering team, setting the bar high for excellence. From defining processes and managing projects to executing engineering design and product management tasks, Fraser brings his wealth of expertise to drive the organisation’s success and foster its continued expansion.

Steve Buchan is the Service Delivery Manager at CSignum and brings over 15 years of expertise as a Service Engineer and Area Service Manager for a leading global supplier of capital equipment across the electronic manufacturing, medical, and solar/PV sectors. This experience, coupled with a decade-long tenure in oil and gas exploration as an electronic technician aboard a state-of-the-art drillship, demonstrates that Steve is adept at navigating diverse technical landscapes.
In addition to his extensive background, Steve seamlessly integrates project management capabilities including spearheading customer-centric processes and initiatives aimed at elevating service standards and ensuring unparalleled customer satisfaction. Leveraging his multifaceted experience, Steve orchestrates projects with precision, delivering tangible results that exceed expectations.
Steve is also responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) protocols on a day-to-day basis, underscoring his commitment to operational excellence and was proactive in the seamless implementation of CSignum’s new ERP system to ensure streamlined operations and enhanced efficiency across the organization.

Jackie Lonie is the Office and Finance Manager supporting CSignum’s diverse business needs and ensuring smooth operations on a day-to-day basis. Managing both personnel and finance matters, Jackie’s experience also includes multinational trade, manufacturing, underwater communications, and oil and gas operations. She has also been instrumental in securing ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditation and working with Steve Buchan on the Company’s health and safety compliance initiatives.
With an HND in Leadership and Management, Jackie recently earned a BA (Hons) with Distinction in Business Management from Napier University. Jackie has a passion for data-driven decision-making and process optimization, consistently maximizing efficiency and driving results.
